Multiform will deliver the award-winning Form 45 kitchen in black oxidized steel to the exclusive Tuborg Strandeng buildings in Hellerup.
When the residences in Tuborg Strandeng are finished in January 2022, several of the exclusive apartments will be equipped with the Form 45 kitchen in black oxidized steel. This is the result of the Danish kitchen company Multiform having been selected as one of the suppliers for the spectacular residential construction project with five coastal homes at the entrance to Tuborg Harbour.
Nordic and industrial style that reference the area’s history
The coastal homes with 167 apartments are designed by the internationally renowned architects Lundgaard & Tranberg Architects, who have created five sculptural properties that are literally located on the edge of the coast. Together with the contractor NCC, Lundberg & Tranberg have created four different design lines that are in harmony with the architecture. Classic House, Nordic House, Beach House and finally Studio House will contain Multiform’s Form 45 kitchen in black oxidized steel.
The style in the Studio House design line stems from the residence’s urban location and the area’s former function as an industrial district. The materials are raw and modern and simultaneously create an urban look and a homely feel.
The sleek, classic design of Form 45 with clean lines in black oxidized steel is absolutely perfect here. It is a minimalist kitchen in a Nordic raw and industrial style, where almost everything is in black. Right from the oak body, oak drawers and design to the sink and tabletop in unique raw steel. It is both simple and effective at the same time and establishes a relationship with the time when the Port of Tuborg was used as an industrial port.
“The black oxidized steel looks great at the welds and is incredibly and beautifully well made. Great attention was paid to detail, and careful craftsmanship stands behind the work,” says Lene Halse Hornemann, proprietor of Multiform Copenhagen, who will supply the kitchen.
In collaboration with Multiform, Lene Halse Hornemann was behind the design of Form 45 in black oxidized steel, which in 2018 won the prestigious European design award from the Archiproducts Design Awards, and she looks forward to collaborating on Tuborg Strandeng.
“It’s a great pleasure to work with such a professional design studio, which has created a building project that is extremely impressive. It is a great honor to be allowed to contribute to the beautiful and elegant architecture, where our award-winning kitchen will be fantastic for choosing the construction project’s other materials,” says Lene Halse Hornemann.
Multiform is building the kitchens in Studio House in collaboration with the fittings company Dornbracht and their new design line, Dark Platinum matte, which has a beautiful metal surface, as well as with the appliances manufacturer Gaggenau and their brand new design series. The Form 45 kitchen in black oxidized steel can be experienced in the showroom at Multiform Copenhagen on Grønningen 1.
