At Multiform, sustainability is part of our DNA. Our kitchens are characterised by timeless design, carefully selected materials and an uncompromising finish, all rooted in traditions of proud craftsmanship. Multiform is the kitchen classic that lasts for decades – just like the very best furniture classics.
A long service life minimises the consumption of natural resources. The same can be said about our everyday efforts to use sustainable solutions. This is the case for everything from the certification of wood to the consumption of energy and even sorting of waste.
At Multiform, we must always deliver the best in quality and design in an environmentally sound way. That is why we limit our transport routes, use environmentally friendly pro – ducts and work every day to become a CO 2-neutral company.
Allan Meyer, CEO
Built to last for generations
When we buy wood, we always ensure that it complies with the EUTR legislation. The European Union Timber Regulation (EUTR) is the EU regulation intended to combat the trade of illegally felled wood and wood products. Here, the climate, as well as the animals and plants have been considered, and, as a minimum, the forest must be able to reproduce itself. The forest certification scheme also covers people who work in, live in and off the forest with regard to rights, safety and health.
A Multiform kitchen deserves to be used for generations. It is a kitchen classic built to last. Built for everyday and built for living. For a lifetime. Just like the best furniture classics.
Lifelong durability and sustainability are connected at Multiform. This is why we have created a dedicated page for private customers who want to sell or buy a used Multiform kitchen. In this way, a new family can benefit from a Multiform secondhand kitchen.
“Ownership is becoming less about having a thing for ourselves. And as we seek to only own things with meaning, the quality, pre-owned pieces that are filled with character, stories and memories will be more and more in demand.”
Jill Hawkins, lifestyle futures expert, The Future Thief
Kitchens with character, stories and memories
– Our future as humans has to be and will be about creating and developing items that last – and prioritising ownership of those that have meaning and stories. Part of the future of luxury will be about the freedom and flexibility afforded by pieces that are designed to last: we will value them because we will be able to enjoy them without worry, says Jill Hawkins, lifestyle futures expert from The Future Thief.
We are so much more conscious of where our fixtures, fittings and furniture come from, and are increasingly checking ourselves for every decision we make, especially those that are high stakes, such as a new kitchen. If we are to commit, we will want to be reassured that what we are buying is sustainably sourced and produced, designed to last and made with skill and consideration.
At Multiform, we are working towards a number of ambitious goals, both internally with regard to our employees and externally with regard to the environment. These are described in our strategy, as well as in our Code of Conduct.
With regard to the sustainable development goals, we undertake focused work with the following goals: Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), Goal 13 (Climate Action) and Goal 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions).
Behind every single unique kitchen from Multiform is a team of skilled cabinetmakers and craftspeople. This is why good working conditions, ongoing skills development and respect for the individual are natural focus areas at Multiform. Only the most skilled team can create the very best results.
