Form 1 was, as the name suggests, the first series we developed. It is part of our DNA and appears just as modern and current as when it first saw the light of day 40 years ago. The series rotates around the square, adding strength, simplicity, elegance and calmness to the expression. The whole thing is reinforced by the frame of the body in solid wood. Form 1 is today considered a Danish design classic in line with the iconic furniture classics that were developed in the 50s.

In this classic kitchen, a modern expression is established through the interplay between the vertical and horizontal lines, in the choice of materials and in the contrast that invites the eye deeper into the room and thus creates movement. The quartzite stone enfolds the kitchen island with the solid oak fronts, thus creating an elegant pairing of stone and wood.

Experienced furniture craftsmen build your new kitchen, hallway or bathroom furniture from scratch in traditional Danish carpentry style. We take pride in creating iconic and timeless solutions. For us, every detail counts. We know that good design is about more than just clean lines and beautiful surfaces. It’s just as much about what’s beneath the surface.This is why we manufacture cabinet bodies from 19 mm boards, where the industry standard typically is 16 mm, and the whole thing is built with a classic joinery method using dowels, pins, dovetail joints and tongue and groove.

Form 1 is Multiform’s first original wooden kitchen. With its iconic expression, the kitchen symbolises the unique aesthetics and high quality that characterises our work. Form 1 was designed in Denmark in 1982 and is the result of Carsten Michelsen’s vision of creating an elegant, classic and timeless kitchen from uncompromising materials. Today Form 1 is seen as a modern Danish design classic, and the recognisable style is available in a great many solutions for the entire home. The combination of traditional carpenter’s craftsmanship and a sense for even the smallest details means that Form 1 is designed and built to last an entire lifetime.
